Happy Friday!
WOW. Friends, we are blown away by your response to our Patreon launch this week. We have 182 Classics Club members (and counting)…and we can’t believe that so many bookworms are here for our nerdy enthusiasm! Thank you. It means so much to us that you want to support our creative project in this way.
We can’t wait to start discussing Pride and Prejudice with you all month long, on Patreon and in the main podcast feed.
In addition to classes, book club chats, and a peek behind the scenes, our Patreon community gets a bonus episode every Friday. Today, Sara shares pairings for The Crown on Netflix, including something to watch, something to listen to, and something to read. We’re calling these episodes “personal pairings,” and we apologize in advance for blowing up your TBR lists.
To access today’s bonus episode, sign up for any Patreon tier at patreon.com/novelpairings.
On Tuesday, we released an episode with five tips to help you get the most out of reading Pride and Prejudice. Here are a few more links to support your Austen adventure:
What’s next
Next week, you’ll hear Part 1 of our Pride and Prejudice discussion. We’re talking about Chapters 1-34 or Volume I-Volume II, Chapter 11. To supplement this episode, we’ll be sharing a bunch of nerdy context around Regency customs on Patreon’s Friday bonus episode.
Now that we’ve launched our member community, we’re looking ahead at our next big goal: Novel Pairings merch! Do any of you have experience with the sales side of podcast merch? We have plenty of ideas for designs and items, but we’re feeling a little lost about our next steps. We’ll do our research and figure it out, but if anyone has firsthand experience, we’d love to hear from you.
