Raising Readers with Anne Bogel
and how to keep our reading lives...well, alive with babies in the mix.
In case you missed the news: we’re both expecting new family members soon—and within just a few days of each other. Of course, this means our off-mic conversations have heavily revolved around all things pregnancy and motherhood over the last several months. We’ve been so grateful for the chance to vent to one another, share advice, and walk this exciting and nerve-wracking journey together. Sara brought up the idea for an episode all about raising readers, something we’re both passionate about and looking forward to.
Today we're thrilled to welcome author, blogger, and podcaster Anne Bogel to talk about raising readers and reading in the hazy newborn days. In this conversation, we talk about simple strategies to encourage a love of reading in kids as well as tips for maintaining a robust reading life as a new parent. And, of course, we couldn't let Anne leave without recommending a few books to us! She shares some of her favorites for readalouds alongside some adult fiction that touches on themes of parenthood.
