In which we critique the beloved Little Women
Christmas won't be Christmas without a new podcast episode
Hey, listeners!
Today’s episode is all about Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, a much-loved book in readerly circles. We share what we admire about Alcott and her iconic children’s classic, as well as the reasons why it doesn’t hold a fond place in our readerly hearts. Since so many readers adore this sisterly, warm-hearted book, we’ve backed up our opinions with extra-nerdy analysis. We reference this book a bunch and found it super helpful in learning more about Louisa May Alcott and her most popular novel.

Currently Reading:
I don’t usually lean into holiday-themed reads this time of year, but 2020 calls for experimentation. I’m currently enjoying a few holiday romance novellas, including A Holiday by Gaslight and American Christmas (both open door). I have my eye on some book-shaped presents under the Christmas tree, and I can’t wait to spend a full day reading later this week. Meanwhile, my *audiobook listening habit has fallen away, so I’m still in the middle of The Dead Are Arising and hope to pick it back up in the new year.
Listeners, we’re excited to be partnering with Libro.fm to offer you two audiobooks for the price of one. Just click this link to get two audiobooks for $15 all while supporting the pod and independent bookstores!
