Anticipated summer reads and backlist gems
Hey, listeners!
Summer reading excitement is in the air, and we couldn’t wait to share in the joy! Today we’re talking about some of the new books we’re most excited to read over the summer season and pairing those with backlist titles that are out in paperback or easier to get from the library. We love summer reading around here and take a pretty expansive view of it. This episode includes fast-paced thrillers, swoony romances, epic sagas, deep literary fiction, and more!

Next week we’re diving into our June classic: The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende. We’re reading this book over the month of June and dividing our discussion into two episodes. For next week, we’re discussing chapters 1-6. Then on Tuesday, June 22nd we’ll discuss chapter 7 through the end of the book and share our contemporary pairings. We hope you’ll join us in reading this wonderful family saga!
In case you missed it, we shared our summer selections on IGTV and in an Instagram post.
